DaVinci Gourmet, a leading brand in premium syrups and beverage solutions, sought to transform its digital engagement strategy. The goal was to provide operators with innovative tools to create personalized beverages that ensured stronger brand recall and improved customer engagement their audience - which comprises of baristas, charistas and operators.

The existing recipe platform was in need of a more personalized approach, better trend integration, and more visually appealing content to capture the attention of operators.

Digital partnered with DaVinci Gourmet to launch an AI-powered platform designed to elevate beverage innovation. This platform would offer tailored recipe recommendations, AI-generated visuals and an enhanced user experience, enabling operators to create standout drinks and drive deeper engagement with their customers.

The challenge for DaVinci Gourmet was multi-faceted:

  1. Lack of Personalization: The recipe platform had to come up with dozens of recipes for each of the ingredients and products offered by DaVinci Gourmet. Furthermore, it had to be cover a sufficiently wide range of beverage recipes for operators to find the platform useful.
  2. Visual Appeal: The visuals used in the platform needed to be engaging to catch the attention of operators, to increase the likelihood of adoption.
  3. Engagement: The platform needed to improve engagement and foster repeat business by offering tailored content that encouraged sharing.

SOLUTION
An AI-Powered Platform for Innovation and Engagement

Digital worked closely with DaVinci Gourmet to create an AI-powered platform aimed at enhancing the user experience and empowering operators to innovate with ease. The solution included the following key components:

  1. AI-Powered Recipe Recommendations

    • Digital analyzed operators’ inventory, seasonal trends, and customer profiles and prompted ChatGPT to suggest a list of hundreds of AI-curated recipes that would resonate with DaVinci Gourmet’s target audience. For example, there would be winter recipes like the “Velvet Hazelnut Latte” for premium operators, while fun-loving cafes were introduced to festive recipes like the “Snowman S’mores Latte.”

    This list was then manually filtered to arrive at a curated shortlist of recommended recipes that were a good fit for DaVinci Gourmet’s customers.

  2. AI-Generated Visuals for Recipes

    • Recognizing the importance of compelling visuals, Digital incorporated images generated with Midjourney for every recipe. Each of them had to look like they were shot in a studio. This feature ensured that operators could see visually stunning representations of their creations, perfectly aligned with DaVinci Gourmet’s brand aesthetic.
  3. Enhanced User Experience

    • Digital transformed the user experience with an intuitive blog and recipe hub. The revamped platform featured personalized recipe suggestions and seamless sharing options for operators to distribute their creations across social media, email, and SMS campaigns. These enhancements helped foster brand engagement, increasing operator and customer interaction.
