Sam has completed several website design and development projects for local businesses wanting an online presence, ranging from simple one-page websites through to full e-commerce solutions.

As a web designer and developer for YourAffiliateSite:

• Developed a suitable infrastructure, a scalable method for users to sign up for a free website, an API for the web hosting company to update the systems, a web-based account management system for admin users including custom analytics, and a customer CMS and administration area.
• Increased over 60,000 active websites and over 1 million user accounts. 

Community Engine is a website that curates vape news from all over the world. 

• Provided wireframing, prototyping, and the creation of pixel perfect Photoshop designs to be built for the desktop and mobile specifically iOS platforms in a fast moving, agile environment.
• Worked closely with the UI developers and product managers to ensure the end product provided the expected experience and met aesthetic standards.

• Worked closely with the UX and design teams to develop compliant, accessible, and beautiful user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery for some of Australia’s largest websites including Drive, Domain, SMH, and Stayz. 
• Oversaw routine maintenance, large scale projects, peer reviews, and direction for internal jQuery coding standards.
• Completed a major rebuild of one of Australia’s largest white labelled real estate data portals, APM Property Data, which allowed for the creation of a new lightweight, faster framework reducing development time.

E*TRADE offers an electronic trading platform to trade financial assets, including common stocks, preferred stocks, futures contracts, exchange-traded funds, options, mutual funds, and fixed income investments. 

• Worked closely with marketing, development, and product teams to deliver creative materials and user interface designs for use both internally and externally. This creative was used for acquisition, retention, and to cross-sell products to existing customers. 
• Helped manage and maintain the E*TRADE brand guidelines and keep an overview of any outsourced creative to ensure it was on brand and meets the standards. 
• Improved SEO resulting in significant improvements in search engine listings.
• Implemented and maintained Omniture web analytics.
• Developed usability and accessibility liaising with ANZ’s accessibility team. 
• Set up a browser test lab of ten virtual machines to cover a wide range of operating systems and browsers.
• Redesigned many legacy applications such as application forms and wizards to improve the user experience.
• Improved website performance through IIS enhancements.
